Has your guy ever faked an orgasm?

Is your man a faker? Is your man a faker? Some men say they can spot a faker in two minutes or less, but of course, that may be why their lady friends are faking in the first place. Men fake, too, but considerably less than women so we are not as well-trained in the art of routing out the fakers.

How many men are faking orgasms? Wikipedia says roughly 30-50%, which doesn't seem to accurate to me. Wikipedia's sources for this wide range of statistics are the highly reputable (note the sarcasm) askmen.com and this site which I think is somehow akin to The Onion as the bottom of the "article" links to another article citing the number of women who secretly have Santa Clause fantasies. Gee, I thought I was the only one who had a thing for men with long, white beards and silly, red hats.

If you are concerned, like I am, that you have been faked out in the bedroom, you may be wondering what to look out for. If he's not wearing rubber, the absence of a wet spot is of course, the dead give-away. If you're practicing your safe sex with a condom, it might not be so easy to "spot" the faker. According to this self-proclaimed expert on the subject,

"A male faker’s Best Supporting Actor is a condom, which puts protective latex over the truth. But even men who go bareback can fictionalize their O’s; if a woman raises doubts, they can always say it was a small one."

If you've spotted a faker in your bedroom, you may be curious about why he's faking, but men fake for many of the same reasons that women do. According to this doctor, the increased serotonin from anti-depressants and performance anxiety are both possibilities for the fakers to emerge. A guy "faker" I know claims he does it when he is not to drunk to fyuck, but too drunk to come. He would like me to note that he does not do this on a regular basis.

Also, a lot of guys don't want to hurt our feelings, which creates an interesting paradox because my feelings would definitely be hurt if my partner were faking his orgasms. While there might be legitimate reasons for a man to fake the big "o", if I caught a guy faking, I would really start to wonder not only about my own performance, but my body, and maybe even question his sexuality just a little bit.

Fair or not, I definitely wouldn't prefer a guy faking to a guy who was open enough to be honest about his needs. Granted, that could be a tough subject to talk about- "Hey, where's the spooge?" may not have quite the same ring to it as the extremely more preferable, "You are the best lover in the world", but it could get a more honest dialog going.
