Wax on, Wax off

My favorite scene from "The Karate Kid" is the infamous "Wax On-Wax Off" scene in which Mr. Miagi teaches Ralph Macchio a thing or two about car waxing. Today, that connotation has a little different meaning as Brazilian waxes seem to be all the rage in the US.  I don't know if this is the trend because it is so popular in the porn industry or because of Carrie's memorable "Sex in the City" wax, but it's definitely a hot topic.

More and more guys seem to be encouraging their wives and girlfriends get a little less hair in the nether-regions, but this full-Brazilian seems to be a little out of whack. What about men? How much should they trim and should they consider a wax? A pretty funny column about a guy experiencing what women undergo on a monthly basis would curdle any man's toes and be familiar territory for a large number of women.

And who are these men that are demanding such a high level of pubic hair removal from their girlfriends and wives? Do they realize the high cost of maintenance in both real cost and the pain involved? The average bikini wax costs roughly the same as the average cable bill, but have you ever seen a man try and choose between the two? Personally, I would equate it to Homer Simpson choosing between tv and beer.
