Are jokes about women really that funny?
Can you take someone like this seriously? He seems so misogynistic that I as a woman should not even look at his videos. I am sure that many a woman would kick his ass across the floor if they ever saw this she-ite. I have, however, seen enough of his other stuff on You-tube to know that he is joking (I hope!) and doesn't mean what he says.
It does make me wonder, though. Why are jokes about different races totally unacceptable in this day and age, but it is perfectly ok to make fun of a blonde, a brunette, or a red-head, but only if they are female? Why is it that when men relate to each other they talk about cars, sports, and tell stupid jokes or share stories about women? Why is it OK to just portray women as either too sexy or too manly? Seriously, how many jokes about Hilary Clinton's pantsuits and Sarah Palin's porn-star looks did we have to listen to during the campaign? (Not that I don't enjoy a good Sarah Palin joke now and again.) The same people telling the jokes would never think twice about telling a racist joke. How would the "comedian" in the video feel if I told him an Asian joke?
How many jokes do you know about men? I know only one and the punch line involves nothing more serious than the premature ejaculation of a fifteen-year old. Yet, I know countless jokes about girls and blondes, and most of them are about girls who are either stupid or "skanky" (not my favorite word) or a combination thereof. Is it time to take a stand and tell someone off when we hear these kinds of jokes or should we shrug them off and start telling more of our own jokes about men in retaliation? How do we as women stand up for our own sexuality as women without being labeled with even more misogynistic terms?
Personally, I'm not about to get on my own high horse too much about these jokes, so I decided to look for a few good man jokes on my own. Not only are they few and far between, they are not that funny. If you don't believe me, check it out for yourself. If you can find a funny man joke on the entire site, I'll pay you a dollar. Seriously, there are funny women out there, so why the hell aren't they writing funny jokes about men?
Personally, I prefer the infamous "And that's when the fight started" kind of joke that is sometimes about the man and sometimes the woman, but always about relationships.
